I made copies of the 'recommend to delete files' prior to deleting them. Installation of the patch went smoothly if a little slowly.
I ran the sim and everything seems OK. I did have to re-assign some controller buttons, but all axis worked fine.
It seems to be a big improvement over v2.0 and I am now able to use the scenario set up screen without CTD.
I've started to copy back across any files that I need from my backups and haven't had any issues yet.
Credit to the LM team.

If you use FSUIPC you will need to grab the latest version.

Just installed the patch. Backed up the recommended folders first, then deleted ;)
Patch installed fine, first run was without hitch. Shut down & added back the scenery.cfg & various other bits. Added the latest FSUIPC & reset my controller assignments.
All seems good so far :excited:

I've gone for the er "belt and braces" approach and installed V2.1 from scratch. Sadly no time to check it out tonight as it's too close to my bed time! Hopefully will get time tomorrow to see how it performs.

Chris

Chaps, anyone running windows 8 (or 8.1) might be worth putting this months MS patches on first. ;)

I added my WIP Wisley which crashed 2.0, but I got an error about non sequential layering in 2.1 and it asked me if I would like P3D to attempt to fix it... which it did... and it works! :excited:

Looks like the patch has broken some compatibility.
Folks are reporting some gps functions are not working, and some aircraft animations are knackered too.
The A2A Spitfire is a total no-go, although their C172 seems to work OK.
QW 146 wheels are half buried in the ground - suspension animation problem?

Hey-ho :dunno:
