Then two went further; one tracing the information on the www and submitting what he found; the second went further still, discovering that the www and the book gave incorrect information. Not only that, but the site which showed the
real identity, quoted the wrong codes in their caption

Del to 311 Sqn Swung on take off for an air test at East Wretham at 1145 hours and hit a steamroller ripping off the starboard wing and crushing the fuselage. The captain of the aircraft was F/O J Stransky and the crew all survived the incident 19/07/41.
Wellington MkIc of RAF 311 Squadron (KX W R1441) crashed March 26th 1941 in Wretham, England.
