Ben I don't think anyone would think of intruding uninvited on their grief , rather that we can have them in our thoughts at the time. :) EricT

Hi Eric,

Yep, understand that, wasn't sure if the family funeral had changed though, that's all :)

Hi Folks

So sorry to hear of Ian's passing.
My condolences to his family.

I'd been offline for the past 7 weeks.

I've never felt so frustrated....... died so frequently/spectacularly/or needlessly....... yet had so much fun, in a long time.

I haven't been visiting regularly but I had a feeling I needed to check in here. Very sad to hear that Ian had to give up his fight. Whenever I read about BOAC/BA routings I'll think of him as Speedbird591 sometimes pops up in there... a special routing and a very special person.

RIP.
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

Here you go fella's.. the latest from Andy ;)

The funeral has been arranged for next wednesday the 21st November at Semington crematorium at 1300. As you all know it is to be a family only affair and as you can imagine Ian did not want flowers but donations instead to Dorothy House. If anybody feels like donating then please send me a cheque made payable to Dorothy House, at my address, (removed).
I am sure he will be in our thoughts next wednesday,
Regards for now, Andy.

Fella's..
Should anyone feel like making a donation, let me know via PM and I'll send you Andy's address. I know we're a friendly lot here but forums are read by folk with less than honourable intentions ;)

Dave many thanks for the updates, I haven't been on here much so I was saddened to hear the bad news, a man whom people had a lot of respect and love for, a rare thing these days which shows what a good bloke Ian was and is, wherever he may be now.
Thoughts will be with the family tomorrow
