Apologies, Gentlemen. :$
If I use drawings in future, I must confirm with a photo first.

Or a Police identity line up?

I'm stumped too, almost a DC2 copy but rudder horn balance different as are the undercart legs. It looks as if it has the Jack Northrop wing design, but its not listed as being his. Bulged rocker blisters - possibly European influence?
Please put us out of our misery...... Keith:S
Hi Keith,
Japan had a licence to build the DC 2, and based the subject on those plans, but made it smaller, so you were certainly on the trail!

Thanks Airboatr for artwork and hosting. ;)

There are three correct replies to 16-12, so far. I won't put up another today, though we're in a birthday-free zone. It can get a bit confusing with late entries on the previous, early entries on the new, and :dunno:  :dunno:

I've found the tail, and I've found the nose. Looking for the middle section now.

Having found the nose, poor Den took a nose dive and mothballed himself for this one. :(
Thanks to those who tried. G'day to those who looked, but couldn't nail it.
The identity was Armstrong Whitworth Ensign (AW 27)

Correct replies received from AllanL, Joe Cusick (Blanston12), and Keith (Dev One)
Keith went further, asking about the engines. According to the cutaway index, this is the Tiger IX-engined variant, (MkI) without defining whether they were original Tiger IXs, or the revised 850HP Tiger IXCs. Unfortunately, these proved unreliable as well, resulting in the MkII being fitted with Wright Cyclones rated at 950HP. Unreliability continued, and their career ended with the survivors broken up in 1947.
Production was set back by the call to produce Whitley bombers, btw.
Gentlemen, congratulations, now please form an orderly line to receive your awards:

I've promised a late entry that I'll leave the identity hidden until tomorrow.
There have been a couple of mind changes along the way, and I'm happy to say that to date, we have seven correct identifications.
Once again, I'm sure that you won't mind sharing the one image.
Congratulations to
Keith (Dev One), who started the ball rolling at 17:20 on 18th December; Brian Franklin, Mick (woody901), Joe (blanston12), Myles, Den (511Flyer) all followed on, with PeteP, who was asleep at the yoke, coming to the party today  .
Well done everyone!
