I've installed it, and am slowly coming to grips with it.

Thank you very much.

Dennis.

Nice aeroplane which I think will take me a while to master.
Has anyone on this forum actually flown a Wyvern and can comment on the FSX flight model.
To me it seems rather sluggish in turns and lacks drag with the throttle closed.

Dog, I based most of the handling assessment on comments in the 'From the Cockpit' book by Michael Doust. It wasn't the most nimble of performers e.g. a turn radius twice that of a Sea Fury although that may have been overcompensated in the model! There isn't a huge amount of drag with the throttle closed as the real thing had a fine pitch stop which wouldn't fine the prop below 28 degrees with the gear up so it's not the same as closing the prop in a piston and creating a big air brake. However if we do have any ex-Wyvern drivers I'd love to hear their comments.

Skip, I was basing the FDE on a heavy fighter that would not be as nimble as a Spitfire, much slower roll and fairly large turning circle.

Do I get to have the FSX WYVERN logo on my posts ?

Rich, sounds about right from all accounts. Feel free to copy the FSX Wyvern from my signature, or I can send you the link etc.

Quick update, for those of you who occasionally like to blow things up in your virtual aviation the Wyvern is now available for the Strike Fighters/Wings Over Israel series from Third Wire. Get it here http://www.nazcastudios.com/sea-hawk/wyvern-sf.html
