First flight '53 KLM Prestwick - Calcutta - Probably Convair 240 to Amsterdam & then Constellation to Calcutta - aged 1. (Flew steerage in QANTAS Connie from Calcutta to Dundee to be born - guess that doesn't count.
)
First single seater flight - RAF Hemswell in last wood and fabric open cockpit single seater operated by the RAF. Well that's what I told my kids - Slingsby Prefect to you in '70. Pill*ck who flew it after me wrote it off and got everyone into deep trouble for allowing him to fly it with only 3 solos in his log. So had I, but I didn't bend it.
