Errr... Is it my eyesight? Was it on the original aeroplane? Or is that just an oversight by the model painter... Looks like Antarctic is misspelled; without the first "c" on either engine cowling...
Lovely looking model and paint though.

Relax Fodda - you're eyesight is fine
OTOH my fingers/ keyboard are sometimes slower than my brain and my eyes see what they expect to see rather than what is. So yes, I confess - this is the first time I've noticed or had my attention drawn to my 'deliberate mistake' - yup - no 'C' mea culpa. :doho:

dear friends,
just one question, for sake of mine clarity: the Antarctic at Cosford doesn'have that strange fin between fuselage and vertical stabiliser. It is normal as the T7 version.
In the new AOP6 release , the sky Antarctic has this fin. Is that correct?
Thanks
Franco

The AOP.6 and the T.7 shared the same sized rudder and fin as per the flightsim version here. It was only the Antarctic version that had the larger fin.
As there are so many different Auster variants, it can be at times very difficult to work out what is correct or not!!
Best wishes,
Martin

Hi - They fitted the bolt-on fin under the rear fuselage to balance the effect of the large floats. There is no sign of that fin on photos I've got of the aircraft on skis - it would not be needed and anyway would be in the way of the rear undercarriage/ski leaf spring .
I assume it came in the floats kit they took with them.
