Yep. I'm still waiting to see more information on what exactly he was on when it happened. Sad day for him and a sad day for a great group that he has funded for many years to bring vintage aviation to the masses.

BTW, I did hear from 2 other sources that were at Oshkosh just recently that the landing was definitely "hard". Apparently the accident separated at least 2 of the aerodynamic "canoes" that cover the flap tracks and did additional damage requiring some serious inspections to be done during the overnights after arrival. Having watched the time lapse of Oshkosh that is on their site, you can see them working with work lights and man lifts.
