Nice to see you HC. I'd hoped you'd pop in and catch this one ;)

Rgr on the seating. I remember it looking a bit Heath Robinson (up front) in one but not in't other for some reason 8) I'm sure you'll get more than a go in one in the fullness of time mate. I certainly hope so anyway

The K3 always seems a little dark and crowded (probably because it is!), whereas in the C1Ks and the K4, without the solid bulkhead (and the tank bay), it seems far brighter and less claustrophobic. :)

In terms of naming UK aircraft officially have a name e.g. Merlin and then a sub mark designator eg. HMA Mk.1 or HMA 1 depending on who bothers writing it out, whereas in the US aircraft have a type and number e.g. F-16 and then a name e.g. Fighting Falcon. This arrangement is then ignored by whoever actually operates the type as they come up with their own name for it.
So KC-30 KC.1 it could be, but the MoD could decide to assign their own name to it e.g. the Airbus Alverstoke just to ensure maximum confusion. And if they call it that you heard it hear first!

Surely we could get a historical connection. The Airbus Oxford KC1, evoking memories of Airspeed's finest twin!

The other advantage being of course that had we got the 767, there's a very good chance you could have flown one of the very airframes we received.
