Shame about the weather but it's nice to know she is down,

Well done to the crew,

Roger.

Well, she bypassed Lincoln, and went straight in at RAF Coningsby. No messing about. Could have been due to the adverse weather conditions.

That kept me quiet for a few hours, and out from under SWMBO feet. Also helped me on my way to 500 posts.

Saw her on approach, 27, past the castle from upstairs window, just after the weather cleared.

I was wondering if you could see her Tom. No doubt you'll be seeing much more before she leaves.

Many thanks Chris for that Iplayer link. A very good report which showed lots of public interest in Lincoln, RAF Coningsby and the surrounding area.

Mother of all thunderstorms over Cranwell and Waddington! She did well to push to Lincolnshire - the rumoured diversion to Teeside didn't sound unreasonable and would have been quite poetic and emotive!
