I'd usually consent with this rather pragmatic attitude, but my problem is that both pics I've found of YO's port side clearly show the absence of the smaller titles:

With the earlier, smaller-lettered version (cramped between the cabin vents), "LONDON" was annexed with no repeat above the pax door either:

So I'll have to remove them, although it's a bummer, since the large fuselage textures allow such fine letters without blurring... :(

@Peter:
Any plans on doing Channel's G-ANVU?

If not, I'd gladly take over, since all the "decals" needed are already made for this Heron, also waiting to get released:

Hi Markus. I won't be painting the Channel aircraft so you are clear to go on G-ANVU! I am trying to avoid any natural metal paints as it is easier to cope with shades of grey. BTW thanks for saving me the trouble of painting the Morton scheme - I had earmarked G-ANAN - I had enough of that with the FR Heron schemes!

 Peter

Thanks for that, mate!

Seems to me like Channel's G-ANVU in its 1970 habit
http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1078812/
wasn't blank metal anymore, unlike the 1964 variant:

I think it would be a case of 'repaint efficiency' (sorry: I'm german after all!) to go for both versions.
Let's see if I could get rid of that grey belly coating and get her shiny again...

After some minor last minute corrections (adding the rego's last two letters to the front gear door for instance), Morton's G-AMYO finally was uploaded to SOH (already available there) and BritSim.

Enjoy!

Cheers,
Markus.

Markus,

Yup, I'd not seen the YO shot when I posted that comment but I had when I posted at SoH :) Obviously, don't leave the small lettering there with photographic evidence showing it wasn't there. You could always do one of the Doves that did have the lettering unless you're dead set on doing YO. I think YO wearing the small London title is quite pleasing too ;)

EDIT: I see you've uploaded it. Lovely job

Oh dear. Bought this and it flies exactly as I would expect. No trim issues, various stages of flap cause the nose to rise or drop as I would expect to see. The stalls in clean and landing config are right, takes a little time to come out of the stall even with full power you really have to push the nose down, wing drop countered by rudder.

Don't seem to be able to fault it.

Using Saitek trim wheel, yoke and rudder pedals in P3Dv3.

Using the RN version. That should set Dave off!
