Thanks for your input here,

Java (I think), just installed the Net version, working OK.
I have found that it does not work every time P3D is started, it still runs in the background though but will not start.
I saved a flight with carriers showing and that seems to work each time.
No idea what's happening there!

well

I get an error installing saying failed on Net462.

Can't install Net 4.6.2 because it says it or newer is already installed and Microsoft say you can uninstall from Add remove programs but not a single
Microsoft.net shows in my add remove programs so I'm stuffed.

This is windows 10 Professional too!

Odd one Rick, you are quite right that you cannot uninstall an earlier version of Net but I too use Win 10 pro and had no problems albeit that the installation is only 2 days old. Like you no Microsoft net programs appear in the program list.

Mine installed fine but took awhile, what about the Dev kit for Net, I believe that will allow you to remove previous versions?

I got it installed

for some reason Net Framework 4.62 was switched off by default.

no idea how as I only found out how to turn it on by googling.

Wow FSW binned
V4 is superb so far
way smoother than V3

Hi Chaps,

Well, its running (in default out of the box guise) on my 2GB GTX770. Texture load times at the start of the simulation are incredibly slow... however it gets there and ones your moving, its ok. However, I'm debating between the 4GB GTX970 and the 6GB GTX1060. Reason being my 770 is just as goof as the 970, other than its only got 2GB of RAM. I know the 1060 is a slightly lower spec card than the 970, but it has more RAM and if RAM is whats making all the difference here, the 1060 might be a good shout. Has anyone heard anything in this regard?

Have jumped in, installed.

Now perhaps a silly question. Do I have to go through the process of installing all my scenery add ons again, or is there a magic formula for pointing V4 to V3 scenery add ons? If so, what are the magic words?

So far so.....average. Frame rates are brilliant with 100+ over London BUT, it goes into Pause mode for no reason and after along (2 hours) flight we went into the old "Prepar3D exe has stopped working, Windows can check online for a solution to the problem. Check online for a solution and close the program" Appcrash says the fault is 0x00031aa9, synmap.dll.

Anyone else getting similar problems?

Anyhow, early days so we must expect some minor glitches.

Hi Allan, mine seems fine in default guise but I've very ungracefully thrown in my addons and its I'm getting the old bits of aircraft displaying or it just exiting to desktop, possibly due to lack of graphics memory, I still only have a 2GB card.
