2) Mobile phones, don't you just love 'em......I really hate them
Especially when in a cafe or restaurant, I want to listen to what my wife has to say (sometimes)

"Double down" instead of emphasize, reiterate, restate etc.
"Optics" when referring to pictures, video or images in general.
"Take away" as in 'What is your take-away from all this ? ' instead of 'What is your conclusion, your impression, your understanding' etc.
"Tear down" instead of dismantling, analysing, examining.
People who say infamous when they mean famous - God, that one gets on my fecking nerves!
These are the latest things that have me shouting at strangers in the nearby park.

Yes Paul K, the standard of literacy these days is appallingly low and getting worse, even on the Beeb - but what really gets my goat is small cars pretending to be parking spots at the supermarket.

Yes and yes!
I have no patience for any of that. I frequently find myself muttering under my breath as I see and hear things these days that are just plain wrong.
