ARGO completed, DC4 will be completed this afternoon.

They are both a nightmare to land, on approach the runway dissapears above the top of the cockpit window cutoff until the last hundred feet or so, OK with an ILS to follow on autopilot but a bit of a problem on a visual approach ( see my hard landings!)

Hi Adrian, I gave you the full DC-4 TR in anticipation of you completing your currently booked flight.

I have done a few flights in the DC-4, relocating four of them to there base in Liverpool. For me landing has not been too bad, but then I have used different version of the DC=4/6/7 a lot over the years. Biggest issue I have had with the FR DC-4 in landing is that when you turn on ILS Approach it will turn in the direction of the runway but it will not descend to stay on the glide path, so once its time to descend I have to turn off the AP and hand fly it down, not a huge problem.

I just got the Argo on sale from FSPilotShop so hope to get a few of those flights under by belt soon to compare it.

I always seem to remember DC props in my youth coming into land with a nose down attitude. I have the Flight Replicas Argo and D-4 and always hand land them. There are a few videos on Youtube of real ones landing etc
