Latest developments in the undercarriage. Long way to go yet, but at least I've made a start on it! Next to do is finish detailing the struts and then cut out the dreaded wheel wells :-(

Looking very good! :flying:

Was wondering the edge on the belly is just temporary?

Maybe not need but found the following reference on the web:

http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk ... index.html

Looking very forward to trap her on the HMS Karel Doorman 8)

Regards,

Marcel

Hi Marcel

Welcome aboard :)

I would think the edge you are referring to is caused by the model being two as yet unwelded halves.

This will be only a temp as are a lot of what you see in WIP models.

Gets more detailed and smoother as it progresses. :dancer:

Hello Marcel and thanks Brian - Garry explained it perfectly and the edge will go away at the end. Another thing that will improve (hopefully!) is the nose cone which will be slightly indented by the air intake. The final models will cover clean and two weapons/fuel loadouts. Brian Horsey is going to handle the FDEs so the different models should handle slightly differently too (as they should).

Will keep you in the loop.

Hello Steve,

Will there be a sidewinder/droptank layout? :prayer:

Hoe these shots help, close up of the gear, don't quote me on my memory but the gear did not
deploy fast.

Apologies for all the single posts, I have not worked out how to edit a post here, here's a great set
of pic of the old girl, shows the main gear was up before the nose wheel.
