Re: WIP...But where is it?
That's excellent news Peter, as Stradishall ws my very first posting from completion of trade training I have always had a soft spot for it and to have the Hunters that were before my time, is a bonus.

Re: WIP...But where is it?
Nigel,
I will be making up a zip file for DaveB this week...It has the bare bones but fully working AFCAD with lighting and ATC but no Hangars or other buildings yet. It has the twelve 208 Squadron Hunters all with correct registrations flying a Traffic file that just has them flying a take-off and return to land and taxy back to the squadron line. The user aircraft for watching the Traffic, in the supplied flight, is "hama's" Austin K2 ambulance.
The AI Hunter has been considerably modified and is now completely reliable...All touchdowns safe and no tailscrapes. They will now only vanish if kept waiting for more than 5 minutes or asked to do a third consecutive go-around (FS9 rules). DaveB is going to check the positional accuracy of the runways and you can just generally test it, if you would like a copy of the zip? :flying:

Re: WIP...But where is it?
I notice that the Ambulance automatically gets canvas side-screens fitted when it rains!..The windscreen wiper also starts...

Re: WIP...Buildings
I don't have any means of looking at the original Stradishall buildings so I'm using this view of Leconfield to arrange the general building layout:-
I've gathered some RAF buildings and have made a start:-

Next is some more AFCAD work to lay all that concrete network that surrounds the hangars and tower :flying:

Re: WIP...But where is it?
I've changed the hangars, laid some more roads and positioned a few buildings...It's coming together gradually:-
