If anybody wants 'em, here's some replacement wing textures for the 2 BA schemes to remove the reg on the upper wing:

I'm sure you can figure out where to put them ;)

Yaffled up in an instant DG  You are a gentleman and a scholar ;)

Yo Garry.. I think Earth Simulations are looking at Guernsey too (which I'll be grabbing sharpish when released) I've not taken the plunge with any of the others yet as I'm trying to argue a reason to buy things for FSX and not FS9. Decent little tinkers like this Islander do force the issue somewhat

Frank..
Dunno who did the BA paints but I was surprised to see the registration on the upper wing surface..
I guess I fly in the wrong areas. B-) Most of what I see looks like some global warming statement (boring brown desert).

Dano did all the texturing for the entire project. Except for some flight model tweaks and the GPS it really is all Dano's project.

Thanks for the wing texture adjustments.

If anyone is interested, the oldest flying Islander crashed last month up in Kodiak, Alaska. (Pilot error.)

You'd be surprised just how much of the default Highlands and Islands look like that Frank (and you know how unlikely THAT is!) No.. standard textures for the UK are more lined with say Provence.. Tuscany.. definitely NOT as they are in RL 8) The only way out is to bin them for something like GenX (which doesn't cover Scotland.. or Ireland) or buy one of these 'Specials' on sale from Earth Simulations :)

Interesting link about that Islander

Dave,
I realise that this is a blast from the past, but since I'm likely to buy the Islander in this month's JF subscriber deal, I wondered if these files could be made available again. Of course, that's assuming that the JF version still reflects the original texture scheme with the over wing serials.

Also, I saw your comments about the Scilly Isles Islander fleet, but haven't seen any link for those files.

Please can you consider making some or all of these available. Thanks in advance for your consideration,
regards,
Ro

Hi Ro, I'll check the files when I get home, & re-upload if necessary. :cpu:
The Skybus paints can be found here:http://www.simforums.com/Forums/repaint ... 34805.html

AOK - thanks again. By the by, I took a copy of the Skybus repaints from the link you gave, and was rather disappointed that a lot of the other links in that topic were broken. Perhaps not too surprising given their age, but not too much of a problem since most of the repaints are available elsewhere - IIRC most were at http://aussiex.org/forum/

;)
