Garry,

From where I was sitting it looked like they came third - after the ref. 8)

I'm crap at footie and my lad's English, does that qualify me for the next english squad? I'll even do it for half the millions they do at present.

You see, we learnt years ago it is far better to get the pain over before the tournament starts, it saves a fortune in travel and bloody silly flags. We can still sit and watch the discomfort of those daft enough to delude themselves that they can live with the likes of Germany and Argentina.

On the bright side, it must be a whole lot better to lose to Germany than that clown Maradonna and his bunch. At least the Germans don't keep wingeing about the wars they lost. :worried:

The thing is, yes we did play bad... but at one point I thought we had a chance.... now I don't want to comment on the nationality of our Manager, but would he have been able to give a half time pep talk like this one :dunno:

Trouble is even though we are out of the tournament, and deservedly so[shouldn't have got this far], we will still get football stuffed down our throats for the next fortnight plus a week of ooh aah from South London. The only saving grace is at least they coincide.

The highlight for me, came shortly after the start of the match. A VC10 flew over, fairly low, heading west. I wonder if our football hater was on board?

With so many dedicated Sports channels, why on Earth do we have to suffer all this cr@p on the main channels

They could removed ALL sport from those channels and I think they should.
