I am glad you have the job offer the only thing that bothers me is their attitude to your starting date, all employers know the rules re notice. I have found that my first job after leaving plod land was great until about three weeks in! Then it was impossible to meet their demands. My new job as a doctors driver is great however the company are very disorganised the rostering s crazy and I am now working two 4 x 12's then a quick change over but I guess having worked for plod I am used to that
I am sure it will all go well for you and hope they let you go, would they let you go with unpaid leave? I would have bought they would as they are shedding jobs as quick as they can...

Hi chaps,

Thank you for the well wishes.

Spoken to the main boss of my Division today who was somewhat taken back but gave me his full endorsement.

The nice thing was, he even said that if things don't work out or it isn't my cup of tea, then I'd be welcomed back.

Nice to have an insurance policy I guess. Not that I'll need it. I never do things on impulse. I've thought this through for months! :S

My last day in the Police is tomorrow. Which will consist of an admin day, locker clearout, paperwork fill in etc..

Then its the end of the line and the start of a new one.. (sorry)! :worried:

Oh that's brilliant news, Eddie. Congratulations :agree:

And you even get a few days off as well. Long enough to take the family to Cornwall for a day or two to make up for the lost holiday?

Ian
