I'm weak and easily led :( There IS some good news though. I have nearly every payware model available :wall:  The bad news.. when the sales start.. there's almost nothing left to buy :| I've been very good at resisting the MV Phantoms though the cost (which is more than prohibitive) has helped and I refuse to pay that much for something I don't want. It has to be a Brit Phantom or no Phantom at all ;)

I may get the Flight Replicas Argonaut when that comes out even though I'll rarely fly it. I won't be getting the JF Hawk. I will be getting the AH Dove. I doubt I'll get the SSW Phantom unless the carrier is particularly good. Not a great deal to look forward to :(

"Allan, you'll have to explain SWMOWQ - She Who Must (OWQ ? )"

Oops, it should be SWMBOWOQ (She Who Must Be Obeyed Without Question). Just shows how fear affects little old me. Actually I think my keyboard is giving up the ghost as it seems to miss the occasional keystroke. More expense - see what you've done!

Would Milviz's newly released F-4J not suit ? Okay, it's not got Speys, but we did use them. ;)

Allan, thanks for the explanation.

Am I the only one who thinks the bump maps are OTT on Milviz models? :dunno:
There's not doubt they are superbly modeled an detailed, but the bump maps are like fingernails down a blackboard to me. :hide:

I stopped looking a while back to be honest Dave. The Phantom threads usually end up coming under the control of 'Mark topics read' button  I had a look at the link to MV when the J/S came out but the prices had me grabbing for a tin of Boddies

 They'll probably charge extra for the TacPack update as well.

Dave B, not being much interested in the Milviz F-4s, I had to look again at the prices. You're right, they are a tad expensive aren't they. There's really only one aircraft I'm watching out for in the Christmas sales, and that's the Captain Sim 727 base pack for P3D. I think that'll do me for this year.

Dave G, by bump map problems, are you specifically referring to the panel lines ? They do seem a bit Corgi in places.

Yes, the panel lines mainly. Seems to be common to a lot Milviz models. It's like they have spent a lot of time on the panel lines, so they want to make sure you notice them!
They keep posting pics of the up-coming F100 and IMHO the bump mapping looks awful.

Agree Dave.. they're rather 'over done' me thinks but I'm not gonna say so over at the Outhouse. Can you imagine the furore :-O
