Cascade - nice
You are slowly working through all the overseas 748's that I have seen! Seattle 1982 and 1983 for this one.

I have an AI repaint of the one HS748 that Air Illinois had (the ill fated N748LL) that I can take some screenshots of and here is an article and picture of the actual aircraft.

I'll keep digging for any others.

Hi Trevor
did they have any other 748's ?.
seeing as everyone was killed i think it might be better not to paint that actual AC.
Some poor devil may have lost a loved one on that and might download my model.
Very slim chance but possible.

And Satena are the sort of airline wholly subsidised by the government to provide air links where it was not commercially viable. Hence the use of air force aircraft.
Ecuador was similar with its 748s using joint civil/military registrations (FAE739 / HC-BEY = hint!)

The caption is confusing since it doesn't match the colours shown above.
"Recently acquired from Air Illinois, and still in their colors."
I'll leave you to work it out

Absolutely understood Rick.
Looks like N749LL did not have the same livery as N748LL if that caption is correct from the link in Ian's post.

Re SATENA
And I would think the operation too small to have a government owned airline to operate so easiest to have the Air Force to run it.
Oh and yeah I know about the Ecuador one similar sort of tail.
I tried not to notice

but I did

Nice work on the Air Illnois ones Trevor - I have a friend who worked for AirVa and he loved the 748s we talked about the AirIllnois aircraft apprently that red cheat line was correct it was delivered from AirIll to Airva like that
there is one other Carrier (I believe) that operated them - acutally out on
the west coast -- I know it wasnt the US "WestAir" of Bae146 fame so Im
not sure who did. Any help Trev.
I was always curious aas to why Pinehurst operated YS11A's and not the
Budgie till I learned of their connection with Piedmont
Cheers
