Hi Jonesey..
In all honesty, I'm bu**ered if I know mate. It's an ATI9700pro so I guess it might have. My thinking here is you're wondering why I didn't stream the video off the dvd player?? Good question and one I can't answer!!
For sure.. I don't (to my knowledge) have any capture software loaded (ATI that is) but this may have been a way around my problem and may still turn out to be useful

OK Guy's..
Pinnacle10 turned up and I've had a fiddle (though not yet RTFM)

I'm not happy about the sound and the picture looks a bit squashed as well as being fairly naff on quality. Considering this is off a DVD.. somethin' aint right somewhere but I'll get to the bottom of it in the end. My first effort was cut to 10mins and weighed in at 144mb. This covered all four engine starts and included them going to high ground idle. As I was about to upload it.. I found that Photobucket will only accept 5min vids without you forking out $29 hence.. a drop in size and quality. I hope you get a BIT of the flavour of what was going on anyway
To view the wmv file, click
HERE
You get about 4mins 20secs worth which covers
some of the nice sounds but sadly.. not all  I'll work on that IDC and when I've finally found out how Pinnacle10 works!

Heh class vid, looked allmost like trying to start the Aeroworx B200, watching those ITT's when opening the fuel condition levers
Tried uploading at FlightLevel 350?

Tks Jonesey
I have a feeling that somewhere, the vid is recording in 16:9 widescreen hence it's squashed look. I hope to god I didn't record it in that (likely as the b1oody widescreen button is far to easy to hit on the digicam with an untrained finger)
If you think it looks like the Aeroworx B200 starting up.. you should try downloading Frasers v4 Vanguard panel. It really
does look like one of those!!

You have to ignor the start sequence on the vid as previously mentioned.. 2 and 3 were started first as we knew they'd start and the batteries were getting hot and tired. Frasers start sequence is correct on the FS9 panel

Great Vid Dave - now if there was someone who could edit Chris's external sound and your internal - The Vanguard would be complete
just spent 6 hours flying it over the last week - and I had forgotten just
how much fun it is......also tried Peter Mcs trick about flying to the
IAF without touching the throttles -- lordie thats a tough one
Cheers and thanks for the video

Tks for your kind words about that bit of poo I posted!!
Garry.. yup, that was the EMERG inverter used for the last run as it only supplies a few 'important' instruments and services.. hence, you don't see the fuel burn gauges running. Lovely sound though isn't it
Lief, et-al...
I'll try and get a clip ready from the point where No1 goes to 'high ground', No.4 gets wound up (sharpish) then they're all moved to 'high ground'. Engine 3 does it for me. There is something unmistakable about that particular engine
After I loaded Pinnacle up yesterday and restarted the pc.. I got maybe 10 or so warnings that I'd just recovered from a serious error  I checked the first one and M$ gave me some garbage about a device driver being at fault. I had to unlock Dolby 2Ch to get the imported clip to play and I've a feeling my pc isn't that struck on it. This could be the reason for the slightly 'looping' sound you hear  If all else fails, I'll load it onto my flightsim pc which has zillions of space (which isn't going to be needed now I'm not getting FSX for the foreseeable future) and fingers crossed.. it'll all work a bit better. Still not RTFM but manuals are for girls anyway!!
