No, you wouldn't be able to mate.. it's hidden in the bowels of the FSA database. Never mind, if you didn't have too many hours up.. there's not a lot lost. I could still try and see if Chris Trott could resurect your old account though.. it's up to you

All your previous is still in our own CBFS database... Neville Hepburn (CBF111)

I've put you back in as CBF111 & set you up for training on the Vanguard.
You'll need to get yourself over to EGLL. Since you already qualified on it, you only need do the first 2 flights to get a full type rating back.

Interesting Do our pages pull directly from the FSA database? I guess they must but the question is, when a pilot is auto-deleted, does our update system leave what has become 'out of date' info in situ rather than delete the pilot also? I'm not sure how it's setup but you do
I looked for Neville over at FSA as I was sure he'd been a pilot once before but got side tracked and didn't pursue it further My worry is that our data will coincide exactly with FSA's with the exception of him being deleted. I think this may have to be initialised at FSA otherwise his previous hours will be lost. If it's not a lot, I guess it may not be worth asking but I'll see what CT has to say and ask if he's still able to 'get in' over there

CT has got back to me and as you thought, his resignation at FSA is permanent unless they ask him back. However, his reply was (as it always is) informative and rapid. He believes JP may be ready to go back to FSA and begin active simming again. He will be able to reactivate Neville.
Alternatively, the easiest way to get him back is to have Neville e-mail [email protected] with his old Pilot ID (not VA ID) and/or username that he used with his name as he had it displayed (i.e. Neville Hepburn if he used his real name) and they'll reactivate his account for him.
The options are there if this is how he wants to proceed

We collect each new CBFS flight report directly from FSAirlines and file it in our own database.
It happens automatically whenever someone looks at our stats pages and there's a new flight report waiting at FSA.

We can then do whatever we want with it, without worrying about hitting the FSA server with all our SQL queries.
We hold all our own aircraft & route data too, so we can do all sorts of complex queries on it.
We've got a record of every flight that the VA has done going back to May 2006, including the ones that FlyNET lost.

The Flight reports stay around forever, while Pilot records come and go just like on FSA.
The difference with our pages is that they search the flight reports using the pilot name. We can get away with that because we don't have that many pilots (and no duplicate names etc.)
FSA find their records by User Id numbers instead, not names. They have to do that because they hold data for more airlines than we've had pilots!

When a pilot gets bumped off FSA, all their flight reports will still be there in the FSA database.
But if the pilot registers again on FSA, they'll have a different User Id & that's why their old flights don't get picked up again.

It is possible for FSA admin to enter a bit of SQL to change the User Id on the old flight reports, but it's not the sort of thing you'd want to do often.
