Cheers matey, work has been going on...and on and on! Slowly getting there, but am off on a much-deserved and long awaited family trip to Argentina tomorrow, and so the release will be delayed till later this year now. Not saying any dates at risk of shooting myself in the foot.

In the meantime, here are some new snaps and a short video of the freeware B.2 models:

short video reel of B.2s in action - please excuse the dodgy framerates - it's not the models, but my overtaxed machine trying to handle FS recorder and Fraps at the same time ;)

Canberra B.2 pack for FS9 out now!

Hello all!

Well, at long last the first of the new Canberra series for FS9 is ready for download. This is the aforementioned freeware B.2 release, sort of a 'taste test' as it were.

http://flyingstations.com/canberra-pack-b2.html

The rest of the packs will be released as payware (but will not hurt your budgets!) as a rolling release from this point on. Originally, the release was planned as one big issue, but due to life circumstances, it will now be released as I complete them.

Pilot's Notes are available in PDF from the main download page, and an ongoing support thread has been set up on our forum here: http://z13.invisionfree.com/Flying_Stat ... owtopic=86

Thanks to all for your continued interest and happy flying!

Steve

Thanks for the HU Steve, DL it now, but will have to fly later. Too much paperwork at the mo.

Hope you are suitably refreshed from you holidays.

ATB,

Graham

Thanks Hobby to Stevo over at the Flying Stations forum for pointing out this rather large boo-boo - the original download did not contain gauges or effects, so if you downloaded the file in the first two or so hours, please re-download with my apologies. You can double and triple check things, but it will take another pair of eyes before you find out the missing parts!

Please re-download in about 20 mins chaps. I can't believe I missed that.

Now I'm really excited because I loaded it up into FSX and everything seemed to be fine and working apart from no gauges, I had no gauge warnings but thought I might just need replacing them with other 50-60s jet gauges myself, but if this works then I'm happy. :)

Thanks.

All seems good here in FSX, successfully shut down the engines and restarted them. All guages seems to be working and all options in the VC clickable. Flies well too :)

Top job :)

The only difference I can spot between FS9 native and FSX is the handling of the starter smoke.

I get this instead of the vertical black smoke (doesn't bother me though), Engine 1

Engine2

Thank you.

Hi Darren,

really good to see some early FSX screens, and nice to know that barring that startup smoke, you have no real problems. Bill Mackay, one of my beta testers reported no problems in X barring the canopy glass texture having problems against certain shades of grey in clouds/sky, but seeing as this was built for FS9, I'm pleased the issues are minimal. Nice to see gauges handled well and you're enjoying her handling abilities.

Thanks for checking her out.

Steve, I had the same missing engine start smoke in FSX, I added this to the effects section

Startup= fx_canb_start

Deleted the [SMOKESYSTEM] entries leaving the title there

Deleted //port cart startlight.9=2, 8.8, -10, 0.1, fx_canb_start from the lights section

Got rid of the whole shockwave set up as I do'nt have it and the start up works ok each engine pours out the black smoke in turn.
