Totally redone the model to remove iffy polygons and smoothout the shape
Added a crew hatch and thickness to all moving panels looks way better now I am making all the parts by hand using polygons

That is looking very nice, almost ready for Mr Falk to roll it over Farnborough. :)

If you ignore the rogue white B2 taking off (well it is a Channel 4 documentary) there's a great sequence of XA890 doing a barrel roll here 35s onwards - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffJ0WX1Xct0

http://www.avrovulcan.org.uk/unknown/890.htm

XA890 is the 2nd prototype B1 and still retains the straight edged wing.

There's a very nice diagram on this page - http://www.avrovulcan.org.uk/1_group_pr ... on/770.htm showing the different wing sizes for Prototype & B1, B1a and B2.

The early history of the vulcan is very odd here is what I found out
VX770 was aircraft no.1 and never got the oylmpus engines
VX777 was next and fitted with the new engines and was very slightly longer cockpit as were the production aircraft
Both were prototypes
XA890 was no. 3 and the first production aircraft it was 16" longer and had a longer nose wheel
XA891 was also fitted with the type1 wing there may have been more
All but 770 received the new wing design as a retrofit
There may be more small details as well but as far as I know VX770 was the only one of it's type so I will probably make the models slightly different for the production b1's
