Well, they've changed all the locks in the entire stadium, so I guess who ever has them can keep them as a momento.

Although, I'd suggest not trying to sell them on eBay. :shhh:

:worried:

Husband says to his wife ‘My new Olympic condoms have arrived – I think I’ll wear gold tonight’.
Wife says, ‘Why don’t you wear silver and come second for a change’. :$

I have some sympathy for these competitors. If the recently changed rules make it more likely that you will win a medal by loosing a game that's a very bad position to be in. The World Badminton Federation should have seen it coming. In my opinion they're the ones who messed up.

In 1990 I went to a world cup football match. The only football match I've ever been to. It was the last match of the first round between Russia and Cameroon. Russia were already out and Cameroon certain of going through so the result of the match meant nothing to the tournament. Cameroon naturally fielded a second string team and the players on the pitch were anxious not to get injured. The Russians were trying to salvage some pride after a bad tournament and surprise surprise won easily.

It was unfortunate that we didn't get a hotly contested match, but it was entirely understandable.

Going back a few days, I watched the opening ceremony and the Italian commentators were completely bemused by most of the show despite having notes about what was happening. The only time they were confident of what was going on was the participation of Mr. Bean.

Ciao Jon,
I have not seen the whole ceremony, but what I saw I liked a lot, and honestly, I do not remember the comment ..... However, Mr. Bean is a star here ..... Apart from the comment at the ceremony, this time I believe that RAI (Italian Television) has completely missed the target London 2012. It 's impossible to watch the programs, with changes of the channels, commercials, jingles, news etc. :S

Not much of a man if they don't have one of those??? :worried: and saying they're lightweight now because they don't have one is just boasting about the past *-)

I have to admit I am hooked. I so enjoyed seeing GB win those gold medels. Of course the coverage here is very Americentric as you can imagine but they did show the canoe slalom, the rowing and the cycling team sprint. I really enjoed watching the outdoor cycling over the weekend through the Surry countryside even though I don't know anything about the sport. Apparently there is lots of strategy involved and I always enjoy anything that has that element. Go team GB!
