You know me well enough to know it was aimed at us not you all, mate.
my meaning is that some here( the U.S.) will gladly take the bad to get what satisfies thier own interests.

You know, Keith, I'd have put money on you being right about that but, if the BBC News page is to be believed, it seems we've both misjudged the man!

I didn't see you'd posted mate. My response was to Pete's re the American volunteers saying 'it worked for us'.

Bit puzzled as to the meaning of Dave's and Joe's posts. I hope I didn't mislead you into thinking there was something more to his response than humour - perhaps I should have mentioned that he said it with a huge grin on his face! He's a committed anglophile and I think just about the only thing he doesn't like about this country is the strength of the pound against the dollar - his pensions are paid in USD.

No Pete.. I realise the comment was made by your colleague on the spur of the moment and was probably tongue in cheek

Yes .. and now I'm probably in a shite load of trouble.
Or will I be saved by the rule.. What happens in forum stays in forum.

A good rule. I'm sure Jethro Gibbs has it in his list and if he hasn't, he should!
