Seriously Dave
If I turn the AA up one more on the card the spinning aircraft does not show.....honestly
Maybe it's a memory usage thing

Hello mate,
Yes indeedie. I don't dispute your findings at all as this is exactly what happened with my GF6600GT a few years back. However.. I've tried going up and down the scale on the 6800 and still the little tinker doesn't appear  I've tried x8, x4 and x2.. the only one I've not tried is x2Q and still nowt appears. Seems that Dan had similar and it just appeared one day I dunno  TBH.. the last 2 ATI cards I've had have outperformed their equivallent Nvidia cards and have run faultlessly throughout. No doubting the 6800GT is a quick card and looking at the figures published on Tom's Hardware.. it SHOULD, in certain games, outperform the X700Pro by a factor of 2 but this certainly isn't the case in Fsim.
Anyway.. the covers are still off so I'll leave it a bit and see what pop's up

Old sailors never die.. they just smell that way!
So SP1 has reintroduced the pollution FSX had cleaned up?
Is that to be considered a step forwards or backwards? Given all the current debate on environmental pollution and greenhouse effect, one would think that a relative cheap and swift cleanup of polluted waters would be welcomed...
Guess not... As Real As It Gets....
Btw. I just had around 20 FSP at EKCH, full traffic and bad weather...
Seems as the worst FPS killer is around airports. Once airborne and the terrain cache is working its magic, frames rise to acceptable level and stays ....
Well at least it does it on my equipment...
