I'd be up for this, some time. Got FSX yesterday, so I'd be willing to try out multiplayer to see the improvement over FS9!

It's just a matter of downloading all those lovely aircraft again...

Hi Trev,

I dunno if my pc was having a bad hair day or if it's Rick's Chipmouse but in FSX at least, just 2 chippies slowed my system to a crawl. Rick was in that default handglider thing so it could have been worse  At least I was in the teens.. sometimes in the 20's seeing the default stuff.

Didn't realise I was being seen as a Harrier.. and one firing bangers!! How rude :-# :worried: Sri Ben

By all means try a Chipmouse flyin. If it's too rough, I can always leave

If were going for slow stuff, theres the chippie, and the Rapide, Anson and Dove which should all happily go exist, albeit theres not as many epaints of the others, but cruising speed is similar.

Re. you trying to shoot me out of the sky Dave, the UKMIL Harrier (both models) files the cannons if you switch all the lights on for some reason... I keep meaning to post on their forum to see if there is a fix.

AH.. ok Ben. Odd that. I suppose it's all down to what aircraft the other players have and what FSX decides is closest. Untidy me thinks

Rick and I successfully managed MP with VOX this afternoon (after much farting around). Pity the last aircraft we chose (WoP P51 and Jug) were so loud, I couldn't hear what he was saying  Also, I never saw his prop move though he saw mine going round fine

I think FSX is pretty good at the aircraft substitution. I don't have the IRIS Tonka, so Rick was flying a Buc last night on my system, a pretty good substitution me thinks.

I'll need to try this Voice stuff... not sure how it works though :dunno:

I bought a 2.50 EU microphone in the Hypermarket today, I will try and get it working. What comms system are you guys using?

FSX has voice built-in. It has to be 'ticked' by who ever hosts the session. We've found it to be a little hit and miss mind you

I'll be home in a few hours. The Chippy / Rapide / Dove might be a good call as they are fairly sedate, however DB mentioned performance issues on his system with the chippy... could try the rapide maybe?

The voice will impact on performance as it eats into the bandwidth, but we can give it a try.

One thing to note is for anyone who hasn't tried before, you can't change AC without ending the session and reconnecting... a bugger if your the host.

I'll be up for a jaunt in the Rapide. Downloaded it yesterday and it didn't seem to have much of an impact on frame rates.
