And to think I once mentioned the good old Airfix Auster.............
You could see him thinking "Bleedin'pilots, don't know nuffin. All glammer" He's probably right.

A Walk Around on Day Five...

Post by petermcleland »

I popped over to the marina at KORS to get a fuel top-up and took the opportunity to walk around with my camera:-

Here I am docked in the marina and annoying this fisherman with my camera.

Low Slow Cruise Five...

Post by petermcleland »

Day Five of my floatplane cruise...After my walk around at KORS, I decided to explore some of the nearly Seaplane Bases. I landed at a few of them but the scenery was just FS9 default so I didn't bother to take any pictures. However, I did manage to find this little pearl, Victoria International Seaplane Base...A part of Holger's scenery:-

Image
It looks pretty nice and there is a seaplane just taxying in.

Image
And there is a marina inside the seawall...There are also some mud banks that I must be careful of.

Image
Well I made it into the pontoon.

Image
There is even some fuel here...But I don't need any at the moment.

Image
Tomorrow I will set off to look at some more Georender scenery.

Here is a brief video of my landing into the swell...click on it to view:-

Great video clip Peter :dancer:
I confess, it brings a big happy smile to my face (not a pretty sight) watching the Auster being flown. Thinks - and I wondered if there's be much interest in the aircraft on floats - glad I listened to Leif ;-)
Cheers CHEERS

Glad you are enjoying it Dave M(oly)...I'm certainly enjoying this low level seat of the pants stuff but I must admit that it was a bit hair raising yesterday in intermittent very poor visibility :o

Thanks Peter

Actually Im flying one of the VA's 780s out of Juneau at present enjoying the scenery -- I was a bit disappointed to find that Sitka isnt included in GB but
found a nicee bot of scenery for it - Off to Ketchikan this evening hauling cargo as a Fedex sub contractor.

Sitka is in the next bit along Leif..."Tongass Fjords" and very beautiful it is too! However, TF is payware, as is Misty Fjords the next bit along from that :)
