I think thats a large NO as far as boredom goes - you actually have
a captive audience who read each installment - Please do not think that
no reply means lack of interest - far from it. There are far to few senior members and experience is treasure.

I love the stuff and can remember the display by the Hunters at Farnborough as we lived in Aldershot.

It was Farnborough that got me into flying, the RAF and other aviation stuff.

I'm still here and last Saturday had 25 minutes in......XR240. Although I have the chance to fly in all 4 airworthy 9s at Eggesford, 240 has for some reason became my favourite. Think it has something to do with the article in Pilot all those years ago.

It was me that got Kazunori Ito to build the Auster 9 and although XR240 wasnt one of the originals in the package, he kindly repainted her for me.

A little late with the welcome but welcome nonetheless. Re your memoires - keep them coming please; I find them very enlightning and the standard of writing is excellent!

Along with others here I'm an ex reg (Army - Royal Signals) and can particularly relate to your adventures in Russion. I did once get to use a B40 (troubleshoot really - the people using it couldn't get it to talk to anyone) I confess to being amazed at how archaic it was.

I did spend some time with BAe at Warton and whilst not associated with the design side I did get to see a fair bit of what the business was about.

I read through every installment, Ralph, so please keep them coming. I did ask the question last time as to whether all this was being archived ? Ralph, do you back up all this, and if not, should the Mods/Admins here archive it ?

It would be a terrible loss if the site suffered some sort of mishap, and it was all lost.
