I'm glad you all enjoyed that.. I did too

Havant ya say... I used to live near there *-) I did an NGS course on HMS Blake (that's naval gunfire support to the uninitiated) so I should have that den of iniquity reduced to rubble in no time! Left 200.. add 200.. H E.. fire for effect! Ah dear.. it all comes back. Takes your mind off the lumbago  I programmed 'Reload' to Ctrl+Shift+R so I can go on indefinitely. I fear, however, that 'the Devil' can spawn new white houses just as fast :wall: Never mind. While I keep him occupied, he won't be making Wales, N.Ireland or Scotland bedecked with such atrocities nor green beaches as shown in an earlier newsflash!

Live long, and prosper :OB:

Green beaches are all over, as i was flying about the Wash is surrounded by green beaches! I know we have the Green Flag beaches but to paint them green is a bit too much!

Have you scanned the help forum on this?
They're getting a lot of comments.

Yes it does look like they are getting a fair influx of comments and suggestions, I am reading most of the comments as I am spending some time there right now waiting for a suggestion as to why copy won't instal. Something to do with an "unhandled exception" error when trying to start FTX Central.

Perhaps they are still hiding under the table expecting another barrage from the KGV

Well, I was originally intending to get this as soon as it was available, after all the hype about the other FTX packages (I have the two demos but have yet to see something that made me keel over - mebbe just not reached the good bits yet?) despite having UTX/GEX/et al (didn't buy them all at once, btw, which makes the cost much easier to bear) I'm really pleased I didn't - and as I said, I now have decided not to at all.

If they make it VFR nav compatible - I'll have it, even if it costs a bit more. Until then - nice try, but not persuaded.

Oh yes - I'm going to pop along to Dover this evening and see what those cliffs look like...

Hi Fraser. I've been following your support issue on the ORBX forum. Obviously I can't contribute any more than the experts but I'll be interested in the outcome.

I did notice that they didn't really explain the library thing, they seemed to overlook that that this is your first ORBX product. I can help a bit with that.

The library file to which they gave you a link at the bottom of the support downloads page is not region specific. It contains all the library objects for all of the scenery areas and airports. The most recent version is contained in any scenery that you buy and is installed automatically. However the library is updated periodically with new objects required for newer airports and sceneries. It will also contain enhancements for older sceneries. So when a new scenery library is released (every 2 or 3 months) it's beneficial to install it. It has its own installer and installs over the old scenery library. There is only one rule and that is that it MUST be installed last after any other sceneries or patches. So if you are doing any re-installs or buying older scenery it is de rigeur to always run the latest library file as the last thing you do. It only takes a few seconds.

They do seem to be having a problem with the newest version which shipped with England and they have withdrawn that one at the moment from the support downloads page, so that still displays an older one than you already have. Just to confuse things more! When Library 121117 appears again it may be improved over the one you have so it wouldn't do any harm to run it once everything else is loaded. The scenery library has a dual installer for FSX and P3D and there is a radio button choice during installation. If, like some of us, you have your FTX scenery in FSX but have used the ORBX migrator tool to link it to P3D then you should run both installers. If you don't know what I'm talking about, please delete the last sentence from your consciousness

Hope this helps. And I hope you soon get sorted.

Ian :)

You now need to position your battleship off Havant and target the FTX headquarters. One shell could sort out the whole business once and for all  Ian :)
Oi! You just watch what you're doing. I live in Havant and I will not be amused if you drop one of your shells down my chimney by mistake!!!
