Tide times are certainly predictable, but the tidal range varies from place to place, depending on the geography and prevailing weather. For example, the Mediterranean has little to no tidal range, while the North Sea can vary between 2 and 7 metres depending on where you are. Looking at Koh Samui there, it looks about average.

Everyday I see a guy walking on the beach selling beach towels. I've seen him sell only
one beach towel since I started watching this webcam. He must be related to the tattoo shop guy.
