Oh YES! One of those aircraft you can easily forget, even though its so huge. Or was back then anyway....

When my Dad used to take me to Heathrow in the 50s, it always amazed me that the large propliners always wanted to land nosewheel first. The Strats, Connies and Breguets were the most obvious.

And funnily 47 Sqdns Beverleys did it back at Abingdon where we were based at the time. I never have figured out why they did, and FS versions don't exhibit the same characteristic at all, as far as I can see anyway.

One of those came over my house every morning at 7:30 as it climbed out of LHR in the late 60's/early 70's.

Intresting angle on that thing... lower the wing a bit, scale it up, hang four Trent 900 off the wing and give it a more conventional tail, what do you have? :think:

Yup, thats what I was thinking of. The A380 isnt pretty, but my thing is ugly! Still I suppose its less ugly than a garden gnome :think:
