Hi Rick,

Fortunately I've got a PCI-E Vid (or unfortunately 'cos it's only a 6800 GS) - might be able to get it under the radar if the 6420 is much cheaper.

SP1 looks as though it'll do the job - I installed on a tweaked version of FSX and I did get much better frame rates (up from about 20 ish to 30+ish) but also got stutters, so I'm doing an uninstall of FSX a defrag and then a new install of FSX and then an install of SP1, and then, and then... I might get it all done when the defrag finishes next month

Whilst the autogen does improve the look of the thing the compromise they've used where autogen "pops-up" at 2Km is a bit unfortunate; apparently they're going to look again at blending autogen when the DX10 version is available.

For me at least the release of SP1 looks as though it's going to let me fly on FSX without wanting to kick the dog (if I had one).

Regards,
Chris

I doubt that Dan as he got a good deal. There were very few folk out there stupid enough to take it off his hands  1.1-1.2fps in DG's Rapide.. over the sea.. with waves visible (that's a first) and autogen turned from off to sparse. Now that aint funny :poke:

Not for me, just a pile of excuses for not listening to the better/beta testers I did beta 1 and dumped it.

Dan , Dave is right there was not a line of takers, I bought it with FSX Gen scenery for £90 the lot and sold it on for 2/3rds that price.
I'm not grumpy just a realist
