Last night, in a moment of madness down the pub (as usual) a couple of us decided that we'd go to Bruntingthorpe today for a blast in some of the fast cars they have on hire there.

After scaring the absoloute pants off myself in a Lamborghini Murcielago I had a wander to the Cold War Jets collection and took a few photos to share.

In no particular order:

One last one, taken by my mate, of me pooing my pants in a Lambo.

My god that thing is fast...

Hope you like them.

Nice pics Rob....thanks for sharing

I like number six I think it is .the distant shot with the Victor beyond the Comet and the Buccaneer poking it's nose it.

Just like the view

I never fail to be impressed by the menacing look of the Victor.....means business that one

Is that Wasp fitted with standard kit? The landing gear looks different  I think they need to check thier sources for restoration..

Nice shots, I look forward to seeing them all next weekend!

BTW, do they ever bring out the XJ220's that are there?

I didn't see any 220's, today there were:

Murcielago
Gallardo
F360
DB9
V12 Vantage
911 Turbo
Tuscan
Imprezza
Evoloution VIII
Caterham 7
Elise

And a couple of other I have probably forgotton.

I have decided that, when I make it one day, I shall have a Lambo. Amazing machines.

That trolley the scout is on does look unusual, probably something they've knocked up themselves!

Certainly isn't the standard ground handling kit, they slide on to the back of the skids and bolt across the front.

On the subject of Bruntingthorpe, Robert Pleming sounded quite positive about '558 today, its not too far away now!

Looks like somewhere else I will have to visit soon

Based on comments here I went to Newark Air Museum last weekend which made a journey to Lincoln worthwile (sorry Nigel  ).

Where did a few hours go? Just as well it was digital photography - the film cost would have been prohibitive.
