A tip for reducing image file sizes

Hi Guys,
I found out this tip by accident some time ago. When you have cropped and resized your picture in whatever image editing suite you may have, try this :
Open M$ Paint, open your image and then resave it using a different name if you wish to preserve the original. You should find that the re-saved image is of substantially reduced size with no/minimal loss of quality for web viewing. Try it, I think you'll be surprised. This will help our dial-up friends when you wish to post images.
