Saw that at Airliners.net tonight.. what an interesting scheme. Makes it look like a mini Victor! Sort of. Sort of not.

Any ideas as to why the scheme was dropped and/or why it was trialled?

Hi Dan,

141 was the prototype, by the time the K2 program had begun in ernest, thinking had change and low viz was the way forward. I' pretty sure our very own Tonks flew on 141 in her camo scheme.

Must admit i think she looks the business.

That particular aircraft was involved in an incident that stressed the fin beyond repair.

They took the fin off the then recently retired RAE aircraft.

This was in the early days......possibly when still camo....anyone remember the details?
