First of i want to say you guys build one hella of a plane, i have actually flown it from mexico city and around all of the south of america. Plane is awesome in simple terms.

but i have one question, i fly exlusivly in VC only and was woundering if there is option or a button or something i can click that can remove or lower the yokes in VC its hard to do approaches with yoke blocking instruments during flights. So is it possible ???

if not no biggie just was curious if i was missing something..

thanks for the great plane.

Hi Voron and welcome to the Forum, hope you enjoy your time with us here.

Don't think there is anything that does temporary get rid of the control column for approaches, I have the same problem in VC mode but Rick who built it has very little time to spare with his on-going projects at the moment so not sure whether he will be able to oblige on that one.....but you never know, good suggestion though.

Regards Nigel.

Hi Voron and welcome to the madhouse

I'm afraid the yoke is actually part of the model and not a simple bitmap so the only way for it to be moved is for Rick to remove the yoke and it's associated parts from the mdl file.

I don't fly in VC much but the last time I did, I had one of those TrackIR4 units which makes it quite easy to 'look over' the yoke. If you're heavily into VC's, I recommend you invest in one

That doesn't solve your problem I'm afraid and I honestly can't see Rick pulling the bits out of the model and reissuing a 'No Yoke' mdl. I could be wrong though.. it's happened a zillion times before

I know the Chippie has a Toggle for the Stick so you can see the VC compass.

Hi voron,
Welcome. I assume you're talking about the yoke blocking the RMI on the captain's side? Although I guess this counts as cheating (some might even say blasphemy!), you could swap the RMI and DME gauges out in the panel.cfg. I've done so on mine...and although the yoke now blocks the DME counter instead of the RMI in the VC, I personally prefer having the RMI in easy sight. Such is the beauty of flight simulator!

If you'd like, I can PM you my panel.cfg.

Try putting your seat up a little (ctrl-shift several times)

I seem to remember (and sorry if I quote you wrong rick) that "the Yoke is there in the real plane, you wouldn't want to get rid of it there would you?".....

Guess that sort of speak for itself, quite a valid statement if you ask me

Hi Dan

That was the line taken before when the subject was raised so I guess that could be classed as the official line on the matter
