Saw what seems to be the Falklands flypast pratice...
Comming round spalding lincs, on route back home saw 3 flights of formations, first was a huge groupe of Eurofighters, the next a VC10 with a fourship of Tornados (i think) and lastly Nimrod with fourshipe of tornados again... They seemed to fly over Spalding for pratice or a waypoint, can anyone clarify etc....

I think it's a mix of operational commitments plus (for the London flypast anyway) Harriers not being allowed to take part as they have the gliding properties of a brick if there was ever an engine failure.Kevin Farnell wrote:What, no Harriers    ?
Was disappointed there also no Harriers present at the recent Duxford 'Falklands' event.

First time around they used Wittering as a 'stand-in' for Buck House, maybe they are doing the same this time as well. I was living in Peterborough at the time, had some great views of (what looked like) the entire RAF!! :yipeee:Chris Sykes wrote:Comming round spalding lincs, on route back home saw 3 flights of formations, first was a huge groupe of Eurofighters, the next a VC10 with a fourship of Tornados (i think) and lastly Nimrod with fourshipe of tornados again...
