Never liked the Chinook!!

I remember walking down a westland wasp for a compass turn test at Culdrose in 1969 and a wessex Mk 3 was on a tie down, next thing I knew the pilots were flying out of the cockpit, she rattled and rolled with a lot of noise, being a newbie in those days I was not to sure what was happening till someone told me, the wessie went into "GR", it was a sight to see a big chooper almost tear itselt to piecee not a 100 ft from me.
