Since finding some settings which make FSX work in a half-reasonable way with the GenX scenery, I've been doing quite a bit of low-level stuff around the Lake district.
Most of it has, however, been done in Rick's lovely JP.
But whatever the aircraft, I get the voice alerts (Sink rate, Don't sink, Too low, etc). These occur in any aircraft, even the default 172. I can disable it only by disabling all cockpit sounds, but then I lose the sound of gear and flap operation (amongst other things).
Does anybody know a way to disable the warnings? Maybe some of the clever folk who can actually design the aircraft know of a particular gauge to disable, for example.
Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
James

Two possible methods:
1) edit the aircraft.cfg to this:
[GPWS]
max_warning_height = 0
sink_rate_fpm = -9999
excessive_sink_rate_fpm = -9999
climbout_sink_rate_fpm = -9999
flap_and_gear_sink_rate_fpm= -9999
2) assign a keystroke to the GPWS (toggle)
