No not a picture of Barbara Windsor after surgery, this picture caught my eye on Airliners. Check out those engines!

They're Pratt & Whitney Canada PT-6s I think.

Quite an interesting Aircraft or should I say conversion. Found this little diagram on it, showing all the mod's:

I think the word is "are" rather than "were". Basler have a thriving little business converting Daks to BT-67s, South Africa have a number in service and a lot of other air forces in South America and SE Asia are buying them as well. Proves the old adage, the only replacement for a Dakota is another Dakota!!

Yep. Basler is quite a company. Had a couple of dealings with them over the years. They are not only an excellent conversion shop with the BT-67, but they're one of the best DC-3 sources as well. They've got just about anything and everything you want for a DC-3 or DC-3 derivative.

Yeah, but Jack put DARTs on a DAK. It just didn't work. Too much weight too far forward. The Tri-Turbo was okay, but was a maintenance nightmare and the 2 built were converted by Baser into BT-67s later in life.

And that Tri-Turbo is an abomination. Way beyond ugly
