Hi Guys

Posted to help others here. (maybe wrong section?)

Anyone on Vista having trouble with sending e mails for the last 10 days or so see here.

Windows Vista - Sending Emails from Windows Mail
We are aware of a problem where customers using Windows Vista may find that they are unable to send emails from Windows Mail. In order to fix this problem, please click on Tools, Accounts and highlight the email account in the Internet Accounts window. Click on Properties and then click on the Advanced tab. Change the outgoing SMTP port from 25 to 587. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Ongoing

they posted this today with a 4 day old posting date which is annoying the T**s off me as i have been trying to fix it for almost 2 weeks as BT told me there was no problem :crying:

Its BT again pissing about with port numbers on their mail server. Every so often they come up with a bright idea and change the port numver or bloack email addresses outbount that don't have a bt domain name, or deside to use out going encryption or.... grrrrr

Thats progress for you, think maybe the old chiseled stone tablets on XP are ok
