I LOVE that paintwork - completely reminiscent of a 7 Sqn TT.18. Ever since I saw 100 Sqn TT.18s flying over my head as a kid, I've been a sucker for anything with black and yellow diagonal stripes

There is a Swift parked beside the road, in the village of Upper Hill, Herefordshire. It belongs to Sheppards Store, which at one time was a haven for seekers of "ex WD" stuff. There is also a helicopter, and a couple of tanks parked up.
I lived close by for over 20 years, and when I first went there, they had a Spitfire. In fact the village pub was called The Spitfire. Sadly, neither of them remain. The aeroplane was sold to a guy in the States, and the pub went the way of many village pubs.
Dennis.
