Another York!

Oh! No! Yes folks, I have reworked the old girl and she now has 4 Merlin 500-2s. These, apparently, were used by the commercial boys from 1949 on.

I'm hoping you will like her behaviour at differing fuel loads, which I think will appeal to VA enthusiasts. Its not a compulsory download and no punishments are planned for those who opt out. Still no VC.

Whilst here, I would like to give a special mention to Dave Booker for all his input through a protracted painful pregnancy. Thankyou Dave!

Should be up on classicbrits in a week or so.

Thanks
Just so you are not disappointed, need to make it clear that the visual model remains the same, also the panel with just one new gauge.

The first two responders (flytexax and rpjkw) will be getting my usual 1 groat bribe in the post.

Yo-de-do :)

Paul has just about covered all the important bits there so a personal thank you from me for hanging in there through moments of dispair (of which there were quite a few in the early days) ;-)

From the pilots perspective.. you can still keep your Mk24 versions and poodle along as you have been. For those who'd like to walk-the-walk and talk-the-talk, the 500-2 will pull like a train and carry the max weights. She's faster (weight for weight) without a great deal of difference in fuel consumption but if you are going for a full load, she'll need around 10kts more over the threshold than what you're used to on the Mk24 ;-)

Due to the weak US dollar that should be a handsome sum.

If you missed the note by Despatch Dragon (Upload Query), the York is waiting for you at classicbrits.

Any queries, moans, groans, etc can be raised here. Just this once, I will be waiving my normal 1 groat fee for a reply.

..made glorious summer by this son of York (based on an idea by William Shakespeare  )

Groats in the hat please, thank you.......
