Hi all,
this lovely photo has just appeared on Airliners. A typical Manchester (Ringway Airport) apron during the early 1970's. Just look at the noses of the comet and the caravelle stood together. Love it..

Beautiful, Eddie - brings a tear to my eye
Could have been me in that pocket rocket at the back - just off for a well-earned night at the Grand Hotel....

Terrific shot, couldn't resist putting it on my desktop
Richards shots of APER and APIM are rather nice too.
Wonder why although Cambrian, Northeast, Scottish and Channel used the same title font, "cambrian" never had a dot on the "i" whilst "channel islands" and "scottish airways" did
