Ohh, the Streak Eagle!

Have you tried to fly the profile to see if you can replicate the record-breaking flights? More importantly, will the airplane have a modified flight dynamics file to replicate the modifications made (lighter weight, bigger batteries, etc) to for the flights? :dunno:

Looking forward to it.

That almost makes me want to finish my model of the record breaker that broke its records. Bah, too lazy.

You were working on a Flanker? I thought you only made civilian aircraft?

It would be great if the F-22 was used to bring the records back, but I think they would rather keep it's performance secret.

BTW, great Streak Eagle repaint. I'll be loading that one on the system. :)

If only you knew what I work on when I get sick of my normal things! It's not even the only Sukhoi in my stable!

I've actually been working on and off on Flankers since FS2002, usually scrapping my attempts, but this time I've managed to get a model going that I'm actually happy with so far, owing to much better available blueprints and cross sections.

Eventually I plan on making the Flankers that time forgot most prominently. I'm starting with the basic Su-27S (in its multiple iterations, can't forget the early models with the original chaff/flare boxes - or lack thereof - and spines), but before I do any kind of Super or Naval Flankers, I want to make models of the P-42, T-10-1-7, T-10-20, T-10-17, and so on.

The T-10-1 through 7 will be a challenge, but since the T-10S prototype was actually a rebuilt T-10(-5?), I've managed to note what parts I can reuse with shape changes - and it turns out to be most of them!

Wow, that looks great Eric! I'll definitely be looking out for it. I actually think the first Su-27 prototype (T-10-1? I'm not running downstairs to look at my Sukhoi book) with the curved wing leading edge (like the Rockwell F-X entry) was the best looking, even it didn't work out.

If you guys want to simulate the Streak Eagle's flights, you can probably just modify the config file by just adjusting the empty weight and slightly lowering the drag.
