Looks like a standard black bear so somewhere in Canada or the US.
The standard National Park guidelines suggest that you suspend your food by a rope from a tree to avoid incursions into your tent at night. But I thought hanging it from a rope was supposed to keep it safe. Looks like those bears have been reading the manual.
