Lovely Dan

Great find :yipeee:

The airports were so peaceful then.........none of this mega security just people getting on with turning aeroplanes around.

Even the views out the window were better :)

Ron Bullock's photographs of Ol Donyo Lengai (left) and Mawenzi (right) show what Captain Ricketts was, for the last time, leaving behind.
Could that be Arthur Ricketts? If so, he was flying a 125 over Angola in about 1989/90 when the starboard engine took a hit from a heat-seeking missile. It took the engine clean off and various bits of shrapnel pierced the cabin, injuring the pax. However, he got it down in one piece and we used the photos of the surviving aircraft for years in our sales efforts for the 125!!
